2021 ACC Consultation

Every two years ACC does a consultation on what their clients (you the employer) thinks ACC needs to stop doing, start doing, or perhaps change doing.

Over the last 10 years we have submitted a number of recommendations that both ACC and MBIE have taken up.  Some of these include:

• Introduce an extended no fee payment plan

• Introduce new levy codes

• Change Experience Rating to make it better for employers

• Not introduce a Mortality Modifier that was going to potentially double the levies

• Give working superannuants better ACC cover

• Reduce the payment plan fees

The process does work and if there was one thing you could change about ACC, what would it be and why?

We’ve got a few ideas for submission to this year’s consultation, but we want to hear from you.

You’re on the front line, it’s your business and levies being affected, so take 5 minutes to tell us what you want changed.

If there’s more than one thing, we want to know about that too. We’ll take the information, create a consultation document and send it to ACC.  The more businesses involved, the more we can be heard and push for change.  Make ACC work for you, don’t work to pay ACC.

The consultation is scheduled to take place in September and will run for 4 weeks.
