Claims and Experience Rating
It’s now the end of the first month of 2021 – and boy that went fast! We’ve got some exciting stuff coming up this year – and some more exciting savings to be made for you!
We’ve always known we’re good at what we do – and until lately, we’ve not shouted it too loudly from the rooftops, but this one is cause for celebration. Over the last few years, we’ve tracked savings for ACC levies – that’s how we know how much on average we’ve saved customers. We’ve now started more intensive tracking – including things we’ve done in the background so we can show you exactly what we can do.
For example, this is one of the areas we started tracking late last year – claims and the impact on experience rating. The bane of every employer. As soon as you have employees and there’s an injury, chances are you will be hit with an increase to your experience rating, that beastly penalty that pushes up your levies for the next 3 years.
Here are three customers. We’ve had one claim moved for each customer - yep, just one claim, and look at the impact on their Experience Rating:
ER % was 10% ER % now is 0% Saving $9,633
ER % was 40% ER % now is 10% Saving $4,898
ER % was 40% ER % now is 10% Saving $3,738
That’s a total savings of $18,268.95 for the three customers – and it only cost them $400 + GST each.
Oh, and that is only for the first year… there are two more years to include!
