CPX invoices - where is yours?
CPX invoices
This month’s blog was supposed to be light hearted, fun, and tongue in cheek to help gets us through the cold days of winter. Instead, it's about getting information to and from ACC - good thing I hadn't started this month’s blog yet!
It’s the silly season at ACC - by this I mean it's CoverPlus Extra (CPX) time of the year again. That time when ACC sends out an invoice to self-employed and shareholders for their ACC cover for the coming year.
Approximately 50,000 customers are on CPX with ACC - that's 50,000 more bits of paper, emails and correspondence that ACC need to deal with. (Double that if you take renewals into account and times by 2 1/2 if you take responses into account). Not a big money spinner for ACC, but a great product for the right people.
Receiving invoices by email
To the point, ACC has been encouraging customers to sign up for online services through MyACC for Business. A neat little tool (although it has a few quirks) where you can (among other things) elect to receive your invoices by email.
We've known for a while that ACC can hold multiple addresses for clients - this is kind of a safety net if any mail gets returned - ACC will have other addresses to try, so it’s pretty good business practice.
But, there’s always a but…
What they didn't tell us was that if you elect to receive invoices by email, you will get them - just not your CPX invoices...
Apparently for each customer, ACC has an address for CPX and a different address for other levies - it may be ours, it may be yours, it may be an accountant, it may even be correct! There is a good chance that you may not receive your invoice... and by not paying your bill within the 30 day period will result in your CPX policy being cancelled.
We are working with ACC to get to the bottom of this issue, in the meantime, if you haven't received invoices, and you think you should have them, contact me urgently to get it checked. ACC have a strict "no pay we cancel" policy for CPX and a strict debt collection policy for other invoices, both of which we want to avoid.
