We have created a short video detailing ACC’s new process for getting your new worker’s ACC history as part of your recruitment process. ACC have updated this where it is now mostly candidate driven and the turnaround time is under 48 hours. This is a massive improvement on the previous 2 – 4 weeks turnaround. Oh, and the process is still free! We tested this process and received a report within 2 minutes so rather impressive.

Gradual onset injuries - who pays?

Gradual onset injuries are when a worker has done the same job, typically for a number of years.  The body wears down and at some point, injuries happen.  Outside of work this is called degenerative and ACC typically does not cover the claim.  At work this is called bad luck for the employer as the claim is accepted and hits your Experience Rating – penalties on your ACC levies.
